Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh: Gifts of Christmas

This is one of my favorite gifts to gift! It’s such a precious gift that goes well beyond a single day. It combines the beauty of two powerful essential oils, an educational book on essential oils of the Bible and some chocolate to indulge in while learning and soaking in the scents of the season. Here are few creative and fun ways to gift someone special this year!

GIFT BOX (featured above)

  1. Fill a gift box with brown crinkle paper shredding to resemble hay in the manger.
  2. Tuck in two bottles of essential oil, one of Frankincense and the other of Myrrh.
  3. Add the Healing Oils of the Bible book, by David Stewart, Ph. D. and
  4. Toss in some gold wrapped chocolate coins.

Gifts of Christmas

Put together this beautiful gift basket featuring a Frankincense sugar scrub, Myrrh & Lavender infused bath salts, and gold chocolate coins.

Frankincense Sugar Scrub Recipe

  • 3/4 cup raw sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • Up to 1/4 cup of olive oil (I prefer around 1/8 cup)
  • 5 drops Frankincense essential oil
  • * optional 2 drops of Orange essential oil for aromatic purposes
  • 8 oz. glass jar with cork stopper or lid

Mix the sugars together in a bowl and then slowly add Olive Oil while mixing.  Add enough oil to get a good consistency…but not too oily.  Add your essential oil(s) drops and mix together again.  Scrub should last up to 3 months in an air tight container.  Use the scrub on skin as to exfoliate for smooth, soft skin.  Makes about 1 cup.

Myrrh Bath Salts Recipe

  • 1/2 cup Rock Salt, Epson Salt, or combination of both
  • 1/2 cup Kosher Salt
  • drizzle of Olive Oil
  • 5 drop of Myrrh essential oil
  • * optional 3 drops of Lavender essential oil (smells amazing combined with Myrrh)
  • 8 oz. glass jar with cork stopper or lid

Mix the salts together in a bowl and then slowly drizzle a very small amount of Olive Oil on the salt.  This will be great for your skin in the bath.  Add your essential oils and mix together again.  Last up to 3 months in an air tight container.  Use 1/8 to 1/4 cup in a warm water for soothing, detoxifying and relaxing bath.  Makes about 1 cup.

Prep Spa Gift Basket

  3. Add gold coins
  4. Wrap with a beautiful bow

Perhaps DIY ideas don’t appeal to you but you like the idea of gifting Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh, let me share some other ideas with you such as this Resin Burner or Essence of the Season gift set.

Resin Burner & Frankincense

Use the whispering essences from Young Living’s Resin Burner to transport yourself to the ancient lands of Arabia. Simply place a few pieces of resin on the burner and take in the aromatic spirit of the desert. The resin’s vapor will deepen your meditation and invite a sacred atmosphere. The Resin Burner comes with a complimentary bag of frankincense resin.

Essence of the Season

Essence of the Season™ lifts spirits with festive, seasonal scents. Containing Christmas Spirit oil blend and the biblical oils and gum resins of Frankincense and Myrrh, this collection can be used during the holidays or year-round to invoke memories or enhance spiritual awareness.

Diffuser Blend

While you prepare your gifts of the season, pop this into your diffuser and enjoy this Christmas Blessing.

Did you know that you can take any diffuser blend and turn it into a room spray? You can! Simply add the desired amount to a glass or stainless steel spray/spritz bottle and fill with water! I recommend a pinch of salt or a little vegetable glycerin to help keep the essential oils evenly dispersed.
